Assist Clients in creation of and meeting goals
Some clients come to coaches with a definitive goal – improve health and well-being through activity, run a half marathon, PR.
Others are unsure of their goal. This is where a coach plays a major role.
Develop Training Plans
Main focus of meeting running goals is the training plan.
Coaches expertise and personal running experience help to develop training plans. Many clients come to coaches for this, but are seeking that personal relationship, encouragement and feedback that online generic plans don’t and can’t provide.
Good coaches get to know their clients well to develop individualized training plans.
Check in, Assess and Modify
Once a client is started with a training plan I will check in regularly, monitor and assess progress, and modify the plan as needed.
Unlimited text message and email access. Monthly virtual meetings. And, consistent monitoring and communication.

During check ins this is an opportunity to share highlights, successes and concerns within your training. This is an opportunity for us to modify a plan immediately based on your reflections.
Success Stories
Never a runner, now of the 1% that have run and finished a marathon!
"I am beyond grateful for Coach Laura and all her support and expertise through my Chicago Marathon journey! I started training with an injury and honestly wasn’t sure I would even make it to the start line. She guided me with so much patience and positivity, adjusting my plan when I needed it, and encouraging me every step of the way. She even came to cheer me on running City of the Lakes Half Marathon in Minneapolis and then to spectate while I ran and finished the 2025 Chicago Marathon! She believed in me even when I doubted myself—I crossed that finish line feeling strong and proud! I could not have asked for a better Coach or a more positive experience!"

Half Century Birthday Celebration Run!
"I’ve been running for over 20 years and decided to run a marathon to celebrate turning 50. I knew I needed guidance—not just a training plan, but someone who could coach from real experience. I found exactly what I was looking for in Laura. She gave me structured training, recommended strength and yoga that supported running and recovery, and invaluable advice on injury prevention, fueling, hydration, and even blister care. Laura's coaching weekly emails, analyzing my heart rate and pace, gave me confidence and clarity as I progressed. Thanks to her coaching, I crossed the finish line of the 2025 Gettysburg Marathon feeling strong—physically and mentally prepared. I absolutely could not have done it alone and am excited to work with Laura again as I look ahead to more marathons."

Come Back Kid!
From DNF to Finisher!
"Two years ago I was a DNF at the Twin Cities Marathon. I knew I wanted to go back and finish it, but I needed a plan and someone to help me stay motivated. When I went looking for a coach I wanted someone who was compassionate, understood life happens, and was not judgmental. Laura was all of these things and more. I ran my 3rd fastest full marathon with her assistance! More importantly she is now a friend and I would definitely use her valuable knowledge again for future races."

1st Time Marathoner!
Working with Laura, was an absolute game-changer for my first marathon. She created a custom training plan that fit seamlessly into my hectic life, juggling kids’ activities, trips, and heading back to the office. She didn’t just give me a plan and walk away, she adjusted it as needed and always made sure it aligned with what I had going on.
When my hips started acting up, she provided targeted exercises and stretches that really helped. She also shared useful advice on fueling, carb intake, and hydration, which made a huge difference come race day.
I went into the marathon feeling strong, prepared, and confident. Had an amazing experience from start to finish. Throughout it all, she was always available to answer questions and offer encouragement. It honestly felt like having my own personal cheer squad.
I highly recommend her if looking for custom plan tailored to you! She will support you through all the ups and downs to get you to your finish line and beyond!
